The "Flute and Guitar +" Chamber Music Competition was born from the idea of ​​promoting the artistic careers of ensembles in which the flute and guitar play a leading role, either as a duo or in combination with other instruments.
Artistic directors Eugenia Moliner and Denis Azabagic of the Cavatina Duo organize this competition, sponsored by the Burrian-based company  Sanycces. 

Information:
  
  • The competition is open to chamber music groups that include flute and guitar , either as a duo or in combination with any other instrument(s), with a maximum of six musicians in total. 
  • The maximum age of participants cannot exceed 35 years (having been born after July 10, 1989).
  • First prize winners from previous editions will not be eligible to participate.
  •  Ensembles that wish to participate in the competition and are also interested in attending the course, and thus work on their repertoire with the Cavatina Duo and other teachers, will receive a 25% discount on the music course tuition.
  • Along with the registration, each ensemble will send the program, specifying which work(s) it proposes for the elimination phase and which work(s) for the final phase , indicating the duration of the pieces .
  • Competition entry fee : 50  euros per ensemble. Entry fees are non-refundable.
 
Competition:
  • The competition will consist of two phases:  a qualifying round and a final.  The qualifying round will be held on Saturday, July 5th  at 10:00 a.m.  , and the final round will take place on Sunday,  July 6th at 7:00 p.m.
  • The repertoire to be presented will be freely chosen and different for each phase.
  • The repertoire will last 15 minutes for the knockout stage , and 25-30 minutes for the final stage .
  • The works can be played in their entirety or movements from works can also be chosen .
  • All participants must arrive at the Juan Varea Auditorium at 9:00 a.m. on July 5th .  Their performance order will be determined by a drawing of letters at that time.  They will then have access to the study rooms to prepare before the competition begins.
  • The final of the competition will be held at the Rac ó de l Abadia  de Burriana, Castellón.


Prizes:
First prize: € 4,000 and diploma
Second prize: € 2,000 and diploma
 
Jury:
 The jury's decision is final. The jury will have the right to declare any of the prizes void.
ACCOMMODATION:  
The accommodation expenses will be borne by the participants.
