The course is aimed at students of Flute, Guitar and Chamber Ensembles, (which include flute and guitar, as a duo or in combination with other instruments and up to six musicians in total) of all levels; elementary, professional, advanced and post-graduate. Individual and group classes will be given in which all the technical, musical and artistic aspects of each instrument will be worked on.

REGISTRATION
Course Schedule and Location The course classes will be held from Monday, June 30 to Friday, July 4, 2025 at the "Abel Mus" Conservatory in Burriana.
Class schedule:
Monday, June 30 to Friday, July 4: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Monday, June 30, Tuesday, July 1 and Wednesday, July 2: there will also be classes in the afternoon, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Workshops:
There will be several workshops during the week, the exact dates will be confirmed shortly. The workshops will be from 6pm to 7pm at the "Abel Mus" Conservatory.
Closing concert:
It will be on Friday, July 4th at 6:00 p.m. at the "Juan Varea" Auditorium in Burriana
The course offers a unique opportunity for learning in an enriching musical environment, culminating in the students' performance at the closing concert.

Workshop on the Interpretation of Bach's Sonatas with Gemma Goday The Juan Gual Esteve Course is pleased to present an exclusive workshop on the interpretation of Johann Sebastian Bach's sonatas, led by renowned flutist and Baroque music specialist Gemma Goday. In this workshop, Gemma will explore the stylistic principles of the Baroque period, ornamentation, and articulation in the interpretation of Bach’s sonatas, with both a historical and practical approach. Gemma Goday is a versatile flutist specializing in both modern and historical flutes. She earned her Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Washington (Seattle, USA) and is the founder of Il Viaggio, a chamber music ensemble that performs with period instruments. She is also a member of Grup Mixtour, dedicated to exploring new concert formats. Her training includes studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, ESMUC in Barcelona, and the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Zaragoza, where she studied under renowned masters such as Kate Clark, Wilbert Hazelzet, and Marc Hantaï.
Workshop on the Dalcroze Method Applied to Interpretation for Flutists and Guitarists with Anna Vernia This workshop offers a practical exploration of the Dalcroze Method, a movement-based methodology designed to enhance musical interpretation. The course will provide tools to develop greater fluency, expressiveness, and rhythmic precision in performance. Workshop Contents:
Application of body movement to instrumental performance
Development of rhythmic and expressive sensitivity
Improvement of coordination and musical phrasing
Strategies for a more natural and communicative interpretation
Ana M. Vernia-Carrasco holds a Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona and is a professor at Jaume I University (Castellón, Spain). She is the Coordinator of the Q-HEART research group and Director of the "L'Alcora Chair for Musical Research and Quality of Life." Additionally, she serves as President of the Spanish Society for Music Education (SEM-EE) and is a board member of the International Society for Music Education (ISME). She has led innovative projects such as Músicas para la Vida, MEPA (focused on educational inclusion through music for adults), and MUSICALL (promoting music for quality of life at all ages). Her work has been recognized with the Research Award on Alzheimer's and Music.
